Manufacturer Wins
The following is the complete list of manufacturers to have taken an overall race win in the British Touring Car Championship.
During the multi-class seasons – which ran until 1990 – all drivers were able to fight for the championship title, with points being awarded for each class rather than on overall positions.
Occasionally, classes would run split races but as all classes were competing for the overall title, they have been listed as individual races and the winner noted down accordingly.
The 2001 Production Class only race is NOT included in terms of overall wins.
Certain models of car may have been entered under different manufacturer names, most notably the Mini which was entered as a Mini, Austin Mini and BMC Mini.
There is one more win that races run as a result of a dead heat at Mallory Park.
Some manufacturers may have more driver wins than race wins due to the fact that cars were shared in longer races – meaning two drivers have a win from the same race.
