WHO IS RACING WHAT IN BTCC 2023?

With the 2023 BTCC season now launched, we’ve now got the list that shows the make-up of the field for the new campaign in terms of which cars will be in action.

Three new cars will appear on the grid for the first time this season, with a number of different machines also returning to action after a period on the sidelines.

The full list is as follows:

1 – Tom Ingram – Hyundai i30 Fastback N – WPMS-NGTC-079
Tom Ingram will race the car he has driven for the last two seasons

3 – Tom Chilton – Hyundai i30 Fastback N – WPMS-NGTC-088
Tom Chilton will race a new Hyundai i30 Fastback N

4 – Colin Turkington – BMW 330e M Sport – G20-023-06
Colin Turkington returns to the same chassis in which he started the 2022 season, and which has now been repaired following his accident at Oulton Park

6 – Rory Butcher – Toyota Corolla GR Sport – SWM-004
Rory Butcher will race the car he has driven for the past two seasons

11 – Andrew Watson – Vauxhall Astra – PMR 17-03
Andrew Watson will race the car driven by Michael Crees last season

12 – Stephen Jelley – BMW 330e M Sport – G20-023-02
Stephen Jelley continues in the car he has raced for the past two seasons

14 – Ronan Pearson – Hyundai i30 Fastback N – WPMS-NGTC-071
Ronan Pearson will race the car driven last season by Tom Chilton

16 – Aiden Moffat – Honda Civic Type R – NGTC-18-007
Aiden Moffat will race the car driven last year by Gordon Shedden

17 – Dexter Patterson – Cupra Leon – WPMS-NGTC-075
Dexter Patterson will race the car driven last season by Bobby Thompson

19 – Bobby Thompson – Cupra Leon – WPMS-NGTC-089

37 – Ricky Collard – Toyota Corolla GR Sport – SWM-003
Ricky Collard will race the car he drove in the final meeting of 2022, the car used by Andrew Jordan in a one-off in 2021

40 – Aron Taylor-Smith – Vauxhall Astra – PMR 17-01
Aron Taylor-Smith will race the car driven last year by Ash Hand

42 – George Gamble – Toyota Corolla GR Sport – SWM-002
George Gamble will drive the car raced for the majority of last season by Ricky Collard

66 – Josh Cook – Honda Civic Type R – NGTC-18-006
Josh Cook will race the car driven last year by Dan Rowbottom

70 – Will Powell – Honda Civic Type R – NGTC-18-002
Will Powell will race the car last driven by Dan Rowbottom in 2021

77 – Sam Osborne – Ford Focus ST – MBP-2020-008
