Having gone close the previous season, Colin Turkington reclaimed the title in emotional fashion – becoming a three-time champion during a campaign in which he had to deal with the death of his mother.

There was just one win, in the meeting at Oulton Park after his mother passed away, but a consistent campaign was enough to see him beat Tom Ingram to the crown on Finals Day.

BMW once again won the Manufacturers’ title, whilst Ingram defended his Independents’ title for Speedworks.
